Coal Bed Methane (CBM) is a form of natural gas extracted from coal beds that are uneconomical to mine, that has in recent years, become an important development option, given the ever increasing focus on security of the UK's energy supply.

Protech has recently undertaken a Coal Bed Methane, Conceptual Design Study, involving the specification of the project infrastructure and the provision of detailed cost and programme estimates.
